Before we start, it's important to understand the framework within which we will operate. The following terms and conditions govern your participation in the Medical Translation Mentoring Program. They outline our mutual obligations and set the stage for a productive and respectful relationship between you, the mentor, and your fellow participants.
By enrolling in this program, whether it's the Group Mentoring or the Individual Mentoring option, you agree to these terms and conditions in full. I encourage you to read them carefully to ensure you fully understand your rights and responsibilities. These terms are designed not just as a formal requirement but as a foundation for a positive, impactful learning experience.

1. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Program Scope: The Medical Translation Mentoring does not provide medical/healthcare knowledge nor act as a translation course. It aims to guide participants in identifying relevant tools and resources for medical translators.

Eligibility: The Medical Translation Mentoring is designed for translators specialized or aspiring to specialize in medical translation. It is not suited for individuals uncertain about specializing in this field or those not interested in medical translation.

Payment: Acceptable payment methods include credit card, Wise, and bank transfer. All payments must be made in euros.

Recording: The sessions will not be recorded.
2. PROGRAM SPECIFICS

Medical Translation Group Mentoring Specifics

Participation: Participants unable to attend live sessions can still benefit from weekly emails, access to an exclusive LinkedIn group for queries and feedback, and three 1:1 sessions scheduled at their convenience.

Commitment: An estimated 3-4 hours per week is recommended for optimal engagement and benefit from the program, including live sessions and personal study.

Resources and Sharing: The program encourages the sharing of useful resources among participants, facilitated by the mentor and supported through collective insights.

Program Inclusions: The Medical Translation Group Mentoring encompasses three personalized 1:1 sessions, eight live brainstorming sessions, weekly actionable emails, exclusive LinkedIn group access, and monthly Q&A calls post-program.

Enrollment Limitation: To ensure a personalized and supportive learning environment, enrollment is limited. This fosters more meaningful interactions and tailored guidance.

Preparation for Sessions: Participants receive weekly emails with specific action items to prepare for sessions, promoting continuous development and application of learned strategies.

Refund Policy: Full refunds are available up to five business days before the start date. Cancellations within five business days of the start date are eligible for a 50% refund. No refunds will be issued after the start date. Participants wishing to cancel their enrollment must contact the mentor directly, providing the necessary details to facilitate the refund process efficiently.

Transferring Enrollment: Participants unable to join a current edition of the Medical Translation Group Mentoring may inquire about transferring their registration to a future edition, subject to availability and prioritization of new enrollments.

Medical Translation Individual Mentoring Specifics

Personalization and Flexibility: The Medical Translation Individual Mentoring is highly customized to address each participant's unique goals and challenges, with the ability to adjust focus as the participant progresses.

Follow-Up and Support: Participants are encouraged to engage with the community through the exclusive LinkedIn group and monthly Q&A calls for ongoing support and learning.

Session Completion Window: Participants must complete their sessions within specified time frames from the booking date—3 weeks for one session, 6 weeks for three sessions, and 10 weeks for five sessions—to ensure a focused and timely development process.

Rescheduling Policy: Sessions can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours notice. Failure to provide timely notice may result in session forfeiture without refund eligibility.

Deadline Adherence: Meeting the session completion deadlines is critical for maintaining the effectiveness of the mentoring process and ensuring participants achieve their developmental goals within the structured timeframe.

Non-Completion Policy: Failure to complete sessions within the designated window results in forfeiture of remaining sessions without refunds, underscoring the program's commitment to a disciplined and engaging mentoring experience.

Extension Requests: Extension of the session completion deadline may be considered under exceptional circumstances and requires approval, demonstrating the program's flexibility and commitment to accommodating participants' needs.

3. ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Intellectual Property Rights: All materials provided during the mentoring sessions, including documents, videos, and any other resources, are the exclusive property of the program facilitator. These materials are provided for the personal and non-commercial use of the participants only. Unauthorized distribution, reproduction, or commercial use is strictly prohibited.

Code of Conduct: Participants are expected to maintain a high standard of professionalism, respect, and confidentiality in all interactions. This includes respect for the diversity and opinions of all participants. Any conflicts or concerns should be addressed to the mentor directly for resolution.

Technology Requirements: Participants are responsible for ensuring they have access to and are familiar with the technology platforms used for mentoring sessions (e.g., Zoom). Technical support for these platforms is not provided by the program.

Cancellation by the Mentor: In the unlikely event of a session cancellation by the mentor, participants will be notified as soon as possible and offered a rescheduled session or a refund, as applicable.

Feedback and Complaints: Feedback is welcomed and can be directed to the mentor at ana@anasofiacorreia.com. Any complaints will be handled with the utmost seriousness and responded to within a specified timeline.

Limitation of Liability: The mentor is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to technical difficulties, internet disruptions, or the participant's failure to achieve specific outcomes, provided that the mentor has adhered to their obligations under these terms.

Data Protection and Privacy: Participant privacy and data protection are paramount. All personal data will be collected, used, and protected in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Participants have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data.

Amendments to Terms: These terms and conditions may be amended at any time. Participants will be notified of any changes via email or a notice on the website.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution: These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any disputes arising from the program will first seek resolution through mediation, and if necessary, arbitration or legal proceedings within the jurisdiction of Lousã, Portugal.
